The "Real de a 8"
Our name was taken from the currency '8 Reales'. The Real of 8, Piece of Eight (peso de a ocho) or Spanish dollar was a silver coin worth eight reales coined by the Catholic monarchy after the currency reform of 1497, which established the Spanish real.
Thanks to its extensive use in the late eighteenth century in Europe, the Americas and the East, it became the first currency of worldwide use.
It was the first legal currency in the United States until 1857, when a law overruled its use.
Nowadays, many currencies like the Canadian dollar, the US dollar, the Chinese yuan as well as Latin American currencies and the Philippines are based on the Real of 8.

Ocho Reales Lager Clara
Craft Beer, intense dark color, elaborated with only four ingredients:
- 100% malts, mix of pale malts and roasted malts
- Water
- Our own Ale yeast
- Hops: A mixture of American and European varieties giving a medium bitterness degree with moderately intense and pleasant scent and a moderate taste.
ORIGINAL EXTRACT: 11.5° PLATO
BITTERNESS (IBU): 22
ALCOHOL BY VOL: 4.5%
COLOR: 65° LOVIBOND
Ocho Reales Porter
Craft Beer, reddish color, elaborated with only four ingredients:
- 100% malts, mix of pale malts and roasted malts
- Water
- Our own Ale yeast
- Hops: A mixture of American and European varieties giving a medium bitterness degree with soft and delicate scent and slightly flavor.
ORIGINAL EXTRACT: 12.5° PLATO
BITTERNERSS (IBU): 25
ALCOHOL BY VOL: 5.0%
COLOR: 23° LOVIBOND
Ocho Reales Ale
Craft Beer, light in color, elaborated with only four ingredients:
- 100% malts, mix of pale smoked malts
- Water
- Our own Lager yeast
- Hops: A mix of American and European varieties giving a degree of medium bitterness with moderately intense aroma and pleasant and mild flavor.
ORIGINAL EXTRACT: 12.0° PLATO
BITTERNESS (IBU): 22
ALCOHOL BY VOL: 4.8%

Craft Beer, copper color, elaborated with only four ingredientes:
- 100% malts, mix of pale malts and roasted and smoked malts
- Water
- Our own Ale yeast
- Hops: A mixture of American and European varieties giving a high bitterness degree with fine, intense, pleasant scent and intense flavor.
